The Maui Nui Botanical Gardens hosts a Native Hawaiian Plant Sale on Saturday, August 29, 2009.  Maui residents will have the opportunity to purchase Hawaiian plants to help support the ongoing conservation and educational programs at the Gardens.

Come and learn about water conservation, plant care and plant maintenance from top experts. Participating vendors include: Native Nursery, Ho’olawa Farms, Kulamanu Farms, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, New Moon Enterprises, Arlene Salomon Design and Upcountry Natives.

This is the one place to buy native and to garner advice from top plant experts.

Admission & Parking are free.  Parking is located across street at War Memorial Stadium Parking Lot.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens located at 150 Kanaloa Avenue in Kahului across from the War Memorial Sports Complex.

The sale features Hawaiian & Polynesian-introduced plants including: banana & taro varieties, ‘ohi’a, medicinal plants, ferns, mountain apple, ground covers and much more.
