Two Schofield Barracks soldiers were killed this week while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

29-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Mathew C. Heffelfinger of Kimberly, Idaho and 24-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Earl R. Scott III of Jacksonville, Fla., died November 8, 2009 in Tikrit.

The men sustained injuries when their OH-58D helicopter crashed.

They were assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
