
High Winds Down Power Pole Upcountry 3/10/10
Crews from Maui Electric Company completed work late Wednesday night to repair a fallen power pole that came down during strong winds.
At 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, motorists were able to access Olinda Road up to the 600 block; but other addresses were being accessed through Piiholo Road.
MECO completed work and the road was reopened at 10:20 p.m
Earlier in the day, the National Weather Service extended the island’s wind advisory until 6 a.m. Thursday, with estimated sustained winds projected to be 30 mph.
