Staff shortage results in missed automated trash route in Kula on Maui

The County of Maui’s Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that homes along an automated route in Kula did not receive refuse service today due to a staff shortage. The missed route is expected to be picked up on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

Affected areas include Upper and Lower Kimo Drive, Lower Kula Road, Omaopio Road, Piliwale Road, Kula Manu Circle, Ainakula Road, Pulehu Road, Holopuni Road, Akea Place, Ka Drive, Kulani Circle, Kulani Drive and other surrounding areas.

The Solid Waste Division apologizes for the inconvenience. For more information, please call the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, at 270-7875.
