There’s free admission to Haleakala National Park this weekend (August 14 and 15, 2010).  The fee-free days are designed to invite new audiences to the parks and to encourage fitness and outdoor recreation.  The fee waiver covers entrance, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees.

The National Park Service and Haleakala National Park will be hosting several fee free days this year. August 14-15, September 25 (Public Lands Day) and November 11 (Veteran’s Day) will be fee free to all visitors at national park sites, national wildlife refuges, and certain Bureau of Land Management sites.

If you have any questions please call the park information line at (808) 572-4400.
