Maui’s Ho’ole’a Terrace earns triple honors in Parade of Homes
The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) honored Maui’s Ho’ole’a Terrace at Kehalani Ulu Pono, with this year’s Best in Show Neighbor Island Award. The project, entered by Stanford Carr Development, LLC, also won the awards for Multi-Family/Low Rise Division I up to $299,000, and Award of Excellence.
Set within the master planned community of Kehalani, this single level townhome boasts nine-foot ceilings, shaker style wood cabinets, low-e double glazed insulated windows and GE appliances. The project is a blend of classic and contemporary architecture borrowing from the traditional plantation and cottage style homes that features 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths within 751 square feet of living area.
There were a total of 11 entrants in the 54th Annual BIA Parade of Homes. Awards for the most outstanding homes on the market were announced during an Awards Gala on October 6th. The annual Parade of Homes event was designed to educate consumers on the latest eco-friendly technology, trends and Hawaii BuiltGreen energy innovations in residential construction.
Great homes at great values were showcased in event, and statewide open houses continue through Sunday, October 17th. There was a total of one entry at Kamuela on the Big Island; two entries in Wailuku, and one in Lahaina on Maui; and seven entries on Oahu—in Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Waianae, and Honolulu on Kapiolani Blvd.
