10/27 8a Wind Advisory Maui
October 27, 2010 – 8:00 a.m.
EVENT: The National Weather Service in Honolulu has continued the WIND ADVISORY for MAUI in effect until 6:00 p.m. this evening.
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected.
EFFECTS: East winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected through late this afternoon, with locally higher gusts to near 50 mph.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION. SECURE ANY LOOSE OBJECTS THAT MAY BECOME AIRBORNE OR MOVE THEM INDOORS.
