An employee with Maui Electric Company was injured yesterday (Monday, November 29, 2010) while working on overhead high power lines in West Maui.  The 59-year-old Kihei man suffered possible face, chest and torso injuries and was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.

The incident was reported at 1:20 p.m. on Lahianaluna Road fronting Kelawea Mauka Park.  Authorities say the injuries were sustained when a flashover occurred.  The incident is under investigation.
