Radio Upgrades result in Crisper Sound for West Side Listeners

Da Jam 98.3 FM, Maui’s leading 18-34 radio station, announces the change of its “West Maui” frequency from 107.3 FM to 107.1 FM. The switch for West side listeners went into effect yesterday, Thursday, December 16, 2010.

“The new frequency has a much clearer sound for our West Maui listeners,” said Program Director Anson Echevary.  He attributed the clarity to the frequency position on the FM band saying, “It sits further away from other stations using adjacent frequencies occupying the 107 Mhz Bandwidth.”

The new 107.1FM signal has also been optimized to the correct Wavelength of most modern vehicle antennas.

Da Jam 98.3 FM is one of six Maui Stations and eight Big Island stations owned and operated by Pacific Radio Group.
