Wind Advisory Haleakala Summit 10a-midnight 1/10/11

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind ADVISORY for the Summit of Haleakala in effect from 10 a.m. today to midnight tonight.

Southwest winds are expected to increase across the summit ranging from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

As a precaution, motorists driving high profile vehicles should drive with caution.  Visitors should prepare for windy and cold conditions.
