Record Rainfall Set At Kahului Airport Yesterday

The National Weather Service is reporting record daily maximum rainfall was set Saturday night at the Kahului Airport.

A record rainfall of 1.6 inches was measured at the Kahului Airport yesterday. This breaks the old record of 1.3 inches set in 1975.

Rainfall constitutes the amount of precipitation of any type, primarily liquid, as measured by a rain gauge at the Kahului Airport during a set period of time. Rainfall in this case exceeded all previous records.
