Honoapiilani Highway Traffic Accident Update 2:45 p.m. 2/23/11

The Honoapiilani Highway is now open in both directions.  Police were alternating traffic for about one hour and forty minutes, utilizing the cane haul road, following a traffic accident earlier this afternoon.  The accident was reported at around 1 p.m. in Olowalu.  The highway was completely reopened at 2:45 p.m.

Motorists traveling to or from Lahaina can expect delays this afternoon because of a traffic accident on the Honoapiilani Highway reported shortly after 1 p.m.  Northbound traffic was being alternated at last report onto the cane filed road in the Olowalu area.   Again, traffic has been reduced to a single lane in the Olowalu area of the Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy 30) due to a traffic accident in the area.  We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
