Have you always wanted to take a dance class but find complex choreography overwhelming? If so, Tara Stanley has just the program for you. It’s called “FLOW: The Dance Within” and the only choreography you’ll need to learn is your own. FLOW is designed to help you let go and discover your unique dance.

FLOW, Stanley’s creation, is a free-form guided yogic form of dance exercise that gives participants an opportunity to increase balance, flexibility and discover a feeling of ease and inner peace. Each class features energetic dance music and is suitable for all ages.

“FLOW is much more than a dance practice. It offers both physical and emotional strengthening. Participants step beyond the familiar and experience the magic of self-discovery. I designed FLOW to be an experience that brings in new energy and positive growth in a fun, nonjudgemental atmosphere,” states Stanley.

Stanley is no stranger to the world of dance. She has worked for the past twenty-five years as a professional dancer and movement instructor after receiving her Masters of Dance Degree in 1983, from the University of Houston; Clear Lake, Texas. She has been engaged in performing, teaching, choreographing, and therapeutic work with adults and children.

If you’d like to see if FLOW is right for you, you’re in luck. Stanley is offering free classes until the end of April at Makawao Union Church. Classes begin on March 26th and she is currently offering a class for both adults and teens. To view the complete schedule, go to www.flowdancecenter.com. You can also reach Stanley directly at [email protected] or 408-315-9259.
