A High Surf WARNING is in effect for the north facing shores of Maui and Molokai from 6 o’clock tonight until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Surf is expected to increase to 20-30 feet tonight along the north facing shores.  The National Weather Service advises the public to stay out of the water and well away from the shore break due to dangerous battering waves and rip currents.

The new swell is expected to build tonight and continue through early Wednesday morning.
