If you’ve been walking the streets of Paia lately, chances are you’ve seen some girls walking around in studded, rock and roll inspired mini skirts created by Tami Dee Snodgrass and Chloe Chippendale, two young and innovative fashion designers behind the Maui based label, Sugarhigh and Lovestoned.

Sugarhigh and Lovestoned recently launched a successful fundraising campaign via Kickstarter, the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects, raising over $10,000. These funds will go to help the label create and launch their new line of youthful and down to earth women’s wear and expand their brand in markets outside of Maui.

One of their most popular items, a t-shirt that reads, “ If you really want to catch your dream, you have to chase it,” perfectly describes Snodgrass’s and Chippendale’s own determination and vision for launching a clothing line on Maui. Describing their label as “romantic yet edgy,” they seem to be striking a chord with the fashionable youth of the north shore.
