Toast to 30! The Kapalua Food and Wine Festival will celebrate its 30th year as the longest running festival of its kind in Hawaii June 9-12. The four-day culinary event led by Festival Host, Master Sommelier Fred Dame will bring together world-celebrated winemakers, top Master Sommeliers, renowned chefs and industry insiders for a weekend of culinary exhibitions, wine tastings and gala events in the evening.
Explore wines that span the entire map of the world including the United States, Bordeaux, Tuscany, Burgundy, the Rhone Valley, Australia, Germany, and more during the Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation Introductory Class. Other event highlights will include a Festival Golf Tournament with Master Sommeliers and winemakers, a Pinot and Cheese pairing event, a custom dining experience with Chef Peter Merriman, the Maui Seafood Festival presenting the bounty of the Pacific and much more.
Master Sommelier Fred Dame brings to the Kapalua Food and Wine Festival experience and enthusiasm. As Vice President, Luxury Sales for Fosters Group Americas and as the first American to have served as President of the Court of Master Sommeliers Worldwide, Dame helps restaurants and hotels in executing innovative wine programs. Watch him lead the 30th festival alongside other Master Sommeliers: Rob Bigelow, Jay Fletcher, Geoff Kruth, Andrew McNamara, and Larry Stone.
