Maui Electric Company continues its Hana pole replacement project today in an effort to improve electrical service to East Maui customers.

To conduct work safely, electrical service will be interrupted between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 24, 2011.  Affected areas extend between Puniawa Road in Haiku and Kaeleku, near mile marker 31 of the Hana Highway.

The project will not affect traffic on Hana Highway. The work today is the third phase of a four week project that began on May 10, 2011.
