Maui Talks Business via Weekly Radio Program
By Wendy Osher
The County of Maui launches a new radio program on Monday, June 6, produced by the Office of Economic Development (OED). The “Maui Talks Business” show is a weekly program hosed by Maui OED Coordinator, Teena Rasmussen.
“The business community wants a voice and needs a voice because this economy is still recovering,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa. “I want the business community to know that Maui County wants to be a partner in their success. This show is one of many ways we can work together,” said Mayor Arakawa.
Rasmussen said the show is in response to the many businesses that have asked OED to engage in some kind of promotion of Maui’s businesses.
“This show is just the first of many small business promotions that our office is planning,” said Rasmussen. “The show will be positive and solution oriented. We want to educate and promote all issues, events, & opportunities relating to businesses, jobs, and economic development on Maui,” she said
The show will feature business guests and will include information on special business milestones and announcements.
