Road Resurfacing Continues Near Kehalani Subdivision

Ongoing road resurfacing work will result in the closure of the Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy 30) in both directions near the Kehalani Subdivision in Wailuku.  Work runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 28 through Friday, July 1, 2011.

The closure will extend from Kuikahi Drive to Kehalani Makai Parkway.  Motorists traveling in the area are advised of detours that will be in place during construction hours.

Motorist traveling in the north-bound (Wailuku-bound) direction on the highway will be detoured: right onto Kuikahi Street, left to Waiale Road, left to Kaupo Street, right to Kamole Street, left to Kehalani Makai Parkway, and right back onto the Honoapiilani Highway.  Motorists traveling in the south-bound (Lahaina-bound) direction, will follow the same detour, in the opposite direction.

In addition to pavement resurfacing, the project also includes lane striping work.

The state Department of Transportation also continues road pavement work in Wailuku on Waiehu Beach Road.  Motorists are advised of intermittent alternating single lane closures on Waiehu Beach Road in both directions from Kahekili Highway to Kahului Beach Road.  The work is scheduled from Thrusday, June 30 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
