Market Street Repairs: July 5 – August 15

The county begins a six week ditch repair project on Market Street in Wailuku on Tuesday. The project involves the replacement of asphalt pavements, concrete cover and drain inlets near the Pili Street intersection.

The public is advised to proceed with caution due to road closures.  Local traffic will be allowed access through the municipal parking lot on Vineyard Street.  The completion date of the project is August 15, 2011.

Lower Main Street Repairs: June 20 – November 10

The County of Maui has also announced road reconstruction work on Lower Main Street.  The project involves pavement reconstruction of Lower Main Street between Mill Street and Waiale Road.

County crews began off-road construction on curb rams and sidewalks on June 20, 2011.  The first day of construction on the actual roadway will begin on July 18 and run through November 10, 2011.

There will be road closures on Lower Main Street during construction with detours placed for Wailuku-bound traffic.
