Ke Alahele Topic of Kiwanis Gathering

Maui Economic Development Board’s President & CEO Jeanne Skog will be the guest speaker at the upcoming meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Kahului on Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
Skog will discuss her nonprofit organization’s Ke Alahele Education Fund, a grant program that helps to support science, technology, engineering, and math education (STEM) county-wide.
Also to be discussed is MEDB’s upcoming 5th annual benefit dinner, “A Pathway to Our Future,” at the Grand Wailea Resort. The event will feature distinguished educators as well as U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, his wife Irene Hirano, Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa, and his wife.
The upcoming Kiwanis luncheon meeting begins at noon on Tuesday at Cary & Eddie’s Hideaway in Kahului.

Earlier this week, the Kiwanis Club of Kahului hosted a meeting featuring guests speakers Bill Frampton and Dave Ward of Frampton & Ward LLC. The two provided an update of the Old Olowalu Village.
