OHA Trustee to Speak at Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber Meeting

Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee, Peter Apo, will be the guest speaker at the next general meeting of the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce (MNHCC).

Apo will share his mana`o (thoughts) on how to effectively integrate Hawaiian culture into business.  The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.  In addition to networking opportunities, the event will also be followed by a buffet dinner and business meeting at 6 p.m.  Cost is $20 per person.

Details about Hui Holomua, the prestigious 5th Annual MNHCC Business Fest, and the 3rd Annual Ko`i Awards dinner will also be presented. The Business Fest takes place on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa.

MNHCC President A. Kai Pelayo  encourages interested community and business people to consider membership.  In addition to the annual Business Fest, the Chamber has also sponsored several events and workshops recently, including Governor Neil Abercrombie’s Maui forum at the MACC.
