In addition to Destiny Fury, Up N Up On the Rise, Bully Dogs and fight paraphernalia, the Big Boys Toys and MMA Hawaii Expo held at the Blaisdell Center this summer was also home to the second leg of this year’s Hawaii Triple Crown of Jiu-Jitsu.

The Gi and No-Gi Tournament was held over two days and had several hundred competitors. Even Governor Abercrombie stopped by to show his support for the tournament and for the sport of MMA in Hawaii.

The featured videos below include our quick interview with the governor as well as a Black Belt Superfight between multiple tournament champ and now North Shore Jiu-Jitsu instructor Mike Fowler and Maui’s own Daniel Neiemeyer.

Kendall Grove was one of the fearless competitors who jumped in to the notoriously most difficult division, the No-Gi Absolute. See his match with Marcus Wilson below.
