Near-Fatal Motorcycle Crash Near Kahului Airport

A near-fatal motorcycle accident was reported near Kahului Airport early this morning.
According to Maui police, a 31-year-old Kihei man was operating the 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle involved in the crash. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and suffered life-threatening injuries.
The single-vehicle accident was reported at around 1:48 a.m. on Lelepio St.

Maui police say alcohol, drugs and speed are being considered as factors in the crash.
