Agdeppa Promoted to Molokai Fire Captain

The Maui Fire Department has promoted Firefighter Roger Agdeppa, an 18-year department veteran, to the rank of Captain. Several other department promotions were also announced today.

Firefighter Roger Agdeppa was previously assigned to the Lahaina Station and also served as the department’s Program Director/Instructor for Fire Ground Survival and RIT (Rapid Intervention Team).  

11-year veteran, Jim Knutson has been promoted from Firefighter 2 to Firefighter 3.  He will be stationed at the Hoolehua Fire Station on Molokai, after serving 6 years at the Paia and Kahului stations.

The following firefighters have all been promoted to the rank of Firefighter 2:

Danny Laferriere has been with the department for 8 years and was previously assigned to the Kihei and Lahaina station. Danny will be assigned to the Hazmat 10 in Kahului.

Kaleo Kealoha has been with the department for 9 years and was previously assigned to the Wailea station.  Kaleo will be assigned to Hazmat 10 in Kahului

Ray Watanabe has been with the department for 9 years and was previously assigned to the Wailea and Kahului station.  Ray will be assigned to Hazmat 10 in Kahului

Richard “Alika” Apana has been with the department for 6 years and was previously assigned to the Wailea and Kahului station.  Alika will be assigned to Hazmat 10 in Kahului

Modesto Jacinto, Jr. been with the department for 6 years and was previously assigned to the Makawao, Wailea and most recently the Kahului station.  Modesto will be assigned to Hazmat 10 in Kahului.
