Maui Motorcyclist Suffers Fatal Injuries

A 31-year-old Wailuku man who was injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash last month has since died from his injuries.

Maui police have identified the man as David A. Pullins.

The accident was reported at 1:48 a.m. on Thursday August 4, 2011 on Lelepio Street, near the Kahului Airport.

Pullins was operating a 2009 Harley Davidson, and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.  Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The accident was the 12th traffic fatality on Maui County roads this year.
