Starting in the New Year, Hawaiian Airlines will launch the company’s first-ever nonstop flights from San Jose to Maui, three days weekly.
Beginning Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Hawaiian Flight 46 will depart Maui’s Kahului Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1:25 p.m. and arrive at Mineta San José International Airport at 8:25 p.m. Return Flight 45 will depart San José on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8:10 a.m. and arrive at Maui at 11:45 a.m.
To celebrate the launch of its San Jose – Maui service, Hawaiian is offering a special introductory round-trip fare of $298.40 for travel between January 10 and March 14, 2012. Tickets must be purchased by September 14, 2011. In conjunction with its special introductory fare, Hawaiian is offering Kona-bound travelers the option of flying to Kona via a flight connection on Maui at no extra charge.
Hawaiian will operate the San Jose to Maui flights using its wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Hawaiian’s B767 aircraft comfortably seats up to 264 passengers, 18 seats in First Class and the rest in Economy Class, with 86% of passengers having a window or aisle seat.
Last week, Hawaiian announced the introduction of nonstop service, four days weekly, between Oakland and Maui, also starting in January 2012.
