Memorial services for Celestial Summer “Dove” Cassman will be held on Saturday, September 24 at Lighthouse Point in Santa Cruz, California, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Cassman was on her second day of a Maui vacation when police, responding to a reported domestic dispute, found her body in the remote Nakalele Point area of Maui on September 1, 2011.

Police say Cassman died of asphyxiation and arrested Gerald W. Galaway Jr. in connection with her death.  Sources say family members were present when a Maui judge handed down the indictment in Second Circuit court on September 9.

Galaway was being held on a no-bail bench warrant after pleading not-guilty to second-degree murder and other charges.  He faces a jury trial in December.

Cassman, 35, was a deputy city attorney for Santa Cruz and was a graduate of UC Davis School of Law.
