Zipline Offers Deal For a Green Cause
By Kristin Hashimoto
While the latter part of October might be relegated to the getting and giving of candy, this year, Skyline Eco Adventures is thinking green and saving you some, just in time for the First Annual Native Tree Plant Out.
From October 31, to November 5, Skyline Eco tours from the Haleakala Crater location will be made available for $50 per person. Here’s the best part: 100% of the proceeds and any donations will go directly to charitable organizations striving for a greener, healthier planet.
Skyline is no stranger to giving back to this green earth by participating in reforestation efforts, outreach, and education throughout the year. They work with local schools, youth groups and boy scouts troops, and teach them about conservation while stoking an innate responsibility each individual has to this planet.
Show up for the education and pulse-pounding action of the tour, or get your hands dirty and plant a tree or three. Either way, there’s fun and philanthropy to be had up on Haleakala. These tours normally go for around $85 to $95 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
For more information visit www.zipline.com, or call 878-8400 for reservations. These spots will be filled on a first come first served basis. Skyline Eco Adventures is located upcountry in Kula on Crater Road.
