MFD Promotes Saribay and Azman

The Maui Fire Department announced the promotion of two firefighters this month.

G. Nelson Saribay, Jr. was promoted from Firefighter III to the rank of Captain.  Saribay is a 17-year veteran of the Maui Fire Department.

He was recently stationed at the Kula Fire Station for the past three years, but moved to the Ho’olehua Fire Station when his promotion took effect on January 1, 2012.

Also promoted was firefighter Reza Azman, who rose to the rank of Firefighter III.

Azman has been with the department for nine and half years. His promotion took effect on January 16, 2012, and he was also assigned to the Ho’olehua station.
