Maui Represented at Prestigious 2012 Philadelphia Flower Show

Hawaii’s flowers take center stage at the 2012 Philadelphia Flower Show taking place this week on the mainland.

The Maui County Office of Economic Development purchased 10 booths for the show, which features the theme, Hawaii: Islands of Aloha.

Hawaii Village vendors include: Genuine From Hawaii.com, Sweet Paradise Chocolatier, the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Maui Coffee Association, Maui Flower Growers Association, Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau, Real Flower Jewelry Inc., Green Point Nurseries Inc., Big Island General Store, Makalani Orchid Farm, Hilo Hana, Big Island Delights, Hawaii (Big Island)Visitors Bureau, Orchid Alley Kauai, Kauai Grown & Kauai Made, Salty Wahine Gourmet, Hawaiian Salt, Alley Kat Art, Hawaii Tropical Flowers & Foliage Association Kauai, National Tropical Botanical Garden, Kauai Visitors Bureau, 1st Look Exteriors, Hawaii Department of Agriculture, Waimea Valley, Bishop Museum, O’ahu Visitors Bureau, and Liberty Travel.

The Philadelphia event is the largest fresh flower and products show in North America and was expected to draw an estimated 300,000 people over the course of the nine-day event.

The flower show began on Sunday, March 4, and runs through March 11, 2012.
