14 Vehicle Thefts on Maui April 15 to 21, 2012

There were a total of 14 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between April 15 and 21, 2012.

The incidents include three incidents in Kahului; two incidents in Kihei, and once incident each in Haiku, Kaunakakai, Kula, Lahaina, Maalaea, Napili, Pukalani, Waihee, and Wailuku.

Vehicles stolen included:

(3) Honda Vehicles – Civic, CRF150 R Dirt Bike; Fire Blaze street bike; (3) mopeds – MD50QT-3, 49cc, Herchee Adly moped 49 CC, Benzohu Verucci; (2) Chevy – Silverado, multi-purpose vehicle; (2) Ford – Yaris, Camry; (1) Nissan Altima; (1) Poloris ATV.

Seven of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

• Friday, April 20, 2012, 11 p.m.:  South Mokapu Street.  2007 White Toyota Yaris.  License #: MRJ824; VIN #: JTDBT923471174637.  RECOVERED.
• Saturday, April 21, 2012, 4 p.m.:  at the Kahiki, Molokini Street intersection.  1987 Blue Chevy multi-purpose vehicle.  License #: MXG516; VIN #: 1GNEV18K4HF100928. RECOVERED.

• Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 8:52 a.m.:  400 Block of Maunaloa Highway.  989 Silver Toyota Camry.  License #: EFY540; VIN #: JT2SV21E8K3354536

Kihei:

• Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 11:28 a.m.:  Kio Loop.  2003 White Ford Crown Victoria.  License #: LAA196; VIN #: 2FAFP71WX3X21326.
• Friday, April 20, 2012, 4:30 p.m.:  South Kihei Road at Jack in the Box.  1993 Silver Nissan Altima.  License #: MJW425; VIN #: 1N4BU31F1PC205066.

Kula:

• Friday, April 20, 2012, 4 p.m.:  Kula Highway at Kaonoulu Ranch.  2010 Red and Black Poloris ATV.  VIN #: 4XATH76A4A4191289.

Lahaina:

• Friday, April 20, 2012, 7 p.m.:  Front Street at the Armory Park.  Silver and Black moped.  VIN #: LYDTCBPC7B1501029. RECOVERED.

Maalaea:

• Monday, April 16, 2012, 10 p.m.:  Hauoli Street.  Black Herchee Adly moped 49 CC.  License #: M70565; VIN #: RFLDJ051XBA018355.

Napili:

• Monday, April 16, 2012, 2:54 p.m.:  Hui F Road at Napili Ridge.  2008 Red Silver Benzohu moped Verucci.  License #: M60536; VIN #:LD5TCBPA981007388. RECOVERED.

Pukalani:

• Friday, April 20, 2012, 11:45 a.m.:  Makawao Avenue at Pukalani Superette.  2004 Silver Honda Civic.  License #: MMM422; VIN #: 1HGEM22164L006824.

Waihee:

• Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 8 p.m.:  Akakuu Street.  2009 Red and White Honda CRF-150R Dirt Bike.  VIN #: JH2KE03359K200820.

Wailuku:

• Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 3:22 p.m.:  Palani Place.  1993 Black and Red Honda Fire Blaze street bike.  RECOVERED.
