Akimeka Awarded $300M Contract to Support Kihei Center

VSE Corporation reported yesterday that subsidiary, Akimeka, has been awarded a prime contract by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Tricare Management Activity.
VSE was one of seven awardees of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract which has a five-year period of performance and a total cumulative contract value not to exceed $300 million for the entire program.
The contract will support the Pacific Joint Information Technology Center (Pacific JITC) out of Kihei in the areas of information management/information technology proof of concept demonstrations and product prototyping.
Akimeka will support the Military Health System fulfill its mission to rapidly research, test and develop warfighter medical solutions and products, through pilots or prototypes that provide mission critical value and actionable information to the Department of Defense, including the Services, Combatant Commanders, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
