Davis Chosen to Play With Junior National Team in Iowa

Kamehameha Schools Maui senior-to-be Sienna Davis of Wailuku was chosen to the 2012 Junior National A2 Team and will be traveling to Des Moines, Iowa next month.

The outside-hitter and two-time Maui Interscholastic League All-Star is one of 22 players born in either 1994 or 1995 chosen for the team, which will play in the High Performance Championships scheduled for July 19-28 in Des Moines, Iowa.

She will also play with her club team, Lanakila Volleyball Academy, in the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, July 1-7 in Columbus, Ohio. Lanakila won the Moku O Keawe Region bid and will be competing in the 17s National Division.

Davis helped the Warriors earn their eighth consecutive MIL girls volleyball title last October and was later chosen to the All-State Fab 15 Team by the Honolulu Star Advertiser.
