West Maui Legislators Host Town Hall Meeting

West Maui legislative officials will host a town hall meeting this Saturday, June 30 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the West Maui Senior Center in Lahaina.

Rep. Angus McKelvey (West Maui, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua, Maalaea, Kihei, and North Kihei), and Senator Roz Baker (South and West Maui), are hosting the meeting.

Updates will be provided on ocean safety issues, the status of dredging at the Lahaina Harbor, and plans to expand the swim area at Hanakao’o Beach.

Also in attendance will be William Aila and Ed Underwood from the state Department of Land and Natural Resources.

Rep. McKelvey chairs the House Economic Revitalization and Business Committee, and Sen. Baker is chair of the Senate Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee.
