Ongoing airfield maintenance at Kahului Airport will result in increased air traffic and noise over central Maui early Sunday morning.

Work will run from 12 midnight to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012.

During this time, flight patterns will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over Kahului, Wailuku, and Spreckelsville.

Runway 5/23 will remain open during maintenance work.
