$61 Interisland Fare Sale Lasts Until Friday

Both Hawaiian Airlines and Island Air are offering a special $61 one-way fare for interisland flights purchased until midnight on Friday September 21, 2012.

Hawaiian Airlines is offering a special $61 one-way fare for flights between Honolulu and Lihue or Kahului; and between Kahului and Lihue, Kona and Hilo, effective immediately.

Tickets at the special fare must be purchased at HawaiianAirlines.com and will be available until midnight on Friday, September 21, 2012, with the applicable travel period extending from today through December 31, 2012. The $61 fare is for one-way travel and inclusive of all taxes and fees for nonstop flights.

Island Air also announced a major three-day seat sale in celebration of the upcoming arrival of their new ATR 72 JetProp aircraft. The “New Bird in Paradise” seat sale is valid on all routes.

Tickets can be purchased at IslandAir.com until Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:59pm. Fares start at $61 for one-way flights and are valid for travel between September 19, 2012 and December 31, 2012.

“Here at Island Air, we are excited about the arrival of our first ATR 72 JetProp aircraft and the enhanced service it will bring to our customers,” said Lesley Kaneshiro, the chief executive officer at Island Air, in a written statement.

Founded in 1980, Island Air provides air service between Princeville and Honolulu, and the airline now offers 331 weekly flights between the islands of O’ahu (Honolulu International Airport), Maui (Kahului Airport and West Maui’s Kapalua Airport), Moloka’i (Ho’olehua Airport), Lana’i (Lana’i City Airport), Kaua’i (Lihue Airport) and the Island of Hawai’i (Kona International Airport).
