Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person or persons responsible for the theft of items from the Kahului Walmart on September 20, 2012.

Authorities say the male individual captured in the attached surveillance photos entered Walmart in Kahului and took a car battery charger, wireless video surveillance system and a head set, then left the store without paying for them.

The individual is described as a male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’10” tall, weighing 180-200 pounds, with short black hair.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the person in the attached surveillance photo is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966, or toll free from the neighbor islands at (888) 242-6966.

Maui Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals in unsolved crimes.

The public should consider all wanted persons as dangerous and should not approach, follow or take other action that could put themselves in danger.

The public is reminded that the information provided by authorities is merely an accusation, and all parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
