Longs Wailuku Opens at Kehalani Village

A grand opening ceremony was held yesterday for the new Longs Drugs Store at the Kehalani Village Center.

The store is the first tenant at the center, which is located at the intersection of Kuikahi Drive and Waiale Road in Wailuku.

The store, located at 135 Kehalani Village Drive, is offering a list of specials that includes a 20 pound bag of Hinode brand Calrose White Rice for $8.99; a 12 pack of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Mountain Dew for $2.89; 100 fluid ounce bottle of Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent (original, High Efficiency or with a touch of Downy) for $11.99; and 24 pack of Hawaiian Tradition Island Fresh Water 16.9 fluid ounce bottles priced at 2 for $7.

The specials are being offered through October 10, or while supplies last.

Stanford Carr Development broke ground on the 200,000 square foot center late last year.

Future tenants will also include Foodland, McDonalds, Aloha Quality Gasoline, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, as well as other retail, restaurant and office buildings.

The Kehalani Village Center is part of the larger Kehalani community which already includes 1,300 homes.
