Red Flag Warning For Leeward Maui

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for leeward areas due to a mixture of strong and gusty winds, and low humidity.
Forecasters say prevailing high pressure will keep strong winds and a drier than normal air mass across the leeward sections of the islands this afternoon.

Winds are expected to be easterly blowing at 15 to 25 mph with 40 mph gusts.
The National Weather Service says relative humidity will be as low as 40%.
