Siren Warning Equipment to be Tested at Hana High

Crews from the Civil Defense agency on Maui will be testing siren warning equipment at Hana High School in East Maui on Thursday, Dec. 20, to ensure that it is working properly after repairs have been completed.

The test will take place between noon and 3 p.m.

As a reminder, the monthly Emergency Alert System and Siren Warning System test will take place for the rest of the state, as normally scheduled on the first working day of the month , Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at 11:45 a.m.

Officials apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public in advance for their patience while crews work to ensure the public’s safety.

Maui County residents can call the Maui County Civil Defense agency at (808) 270-7285 if they have any questions or concerns regarding this test of the Statewide Outdoor Siren Warning System.
