Officials with Maui Crime Stoppers have confirmed that 46-year-old Karen Brown Young has since been located.  Authorities say there is no further interest in the missing person case, and thanked the public for their help.

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing person, identified as 46-year-old Karen Brown Young.

According to officials, Brown Young was last seen walking from her residence on Waiehu Beach Road to L&L Drive Inn by Sack N Save at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20.

Brown Young is described as 5’5” tall, 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the person in the attached photos is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966, or toll free from the neighbor islands at (888) 242-6966.

Maui Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals in unsolved crimes.

The public should consider all wanted persons as dangerous and should not approach, follow or take other action that could put themselves in danger.
