New Bra Biz Caters to Larger Mauian Ladies

A new bra-fitting business, Perfection Bra Fitting, has opened in Wailuku and promises to specialize in “hard-to-fit” sizes.

The store’s concept, which opened in September, is based on the assertion that 70% of women are wearing the wrong size bra, according to owner Terri Erwin.

“Oprah popularized the personalized fitting with a feature on her show a few years back.  And, Lifetime just announced a new reality show in January (Double Divas) following two professional bra-fitters based in Georgia, even.”

Perfection will apparently feature the gamut of bra sizes, A through K (K is 11 cup sizes up from DD, says Erwin), as well as DD+ swim tops.

Erwin says she is “grateful” that word is getting around, especially to women who can’t find bras that fit from department stores on Maui.

It’s located at 55 N. Church Street, Wailuku, Cottage A, behind the McDonald’s.
