By Vanessa Wolf

Jesus, Mary, and all the saints it’s hard to come up with something unique to say each and every Friday morning for these weekend events pieces!

Time marches on, and it must be done. Resistance is futile.

fringe logo blank_2The Maui Fringe Festival goes on all weekend, and maybe it’s because we interviewed her or because of that really weird day we felt particularly icky and never got out of bed opting instead to watch the entire first season of American Horror Story back-to-back in aghast, breathless, dazzled awe, but Julia Wackenheim’s “Turner & Hooch 2:” sounds like a whole lotta fun.

As she explained, “I play myself as a 12-year old in the house I grew up in in New Jersey, where there was a murder in the house right before we moved in since my parent’s thought that wasn’t a big deal. This is a 12-year-old’s fantasy about that mystery.”

You can catch it tonight at 8:15 p.m. at the Iao Theater in Wailuku.

Tickets are $10 at the door or you can purchase them and/or check out the other awesome-sounding offerings online.

They also promise that you can/should “Live in the video mix!” I’m afraid I don’t really know what that means, but I don’t write this stuff, I just regurgitate it.

Anyhoo, doors open at 10 p.m. and plan to fork over $10 at the door.
