2 Arrested For Suspected Involvement in Pukalani Bank Robbery

Two men were arrested on Wednesday evening as the result of an ongoing investigation into the armed robbery of the First Hawaiian Bank in Pukalani on Tuesday, Feb 19.

Police say the men, ages 25 and 28, are believed to have been involved with the incident. They were both placed under arrest at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, as a result of an ongoing investigation by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, officers with the Special Response Team, and patrol units.

A female was also arrested for first-degree hindering prosecution at the time of the arrests. All individuals were transported to Wailuku Police Station for processing.

Police say they also seized one vehicle from a Lahaina Resort and a motorcycle from a residence in the Pukalani area.

As of Thursday afternoon, no charges were filed, and the investigation was still ongoing.
