Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected throughout the day.

Forecasters from the NWS say the gusty winds are being generated by strong high pressure north of the Islands.

The public is advised that winds this strong can bring down tree branches, cause localized power outages, and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
