This Weekend: Maximize Your Jellybean High
Vanessa Wolf doesn’t really groove on sugar, but she does enjoy the occasional black jellybean.

Step away from the Peeps and the Cadbury Eggs.
Slowly peel the fake plastic grass off your face and pump the brakes.
Sugar highs can put you on a wild and crazy roller coaster, son, but you’re gonna be okay.
Exhale and settle into your Easter weekend options.
Best Reason to Drink a Pint…or Three
Maui Brewing Company holds a quarterly fundraiser to help Maui’s native forest birds. March brings “Pint Night for the Birds.”
Maui’s native forest birds are on the brink of extinction. Biologists are searching for ways to help these birds and funding is decreasing every year.
Come to the Maui Brewing Company Brewpub tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight. Half of the night’s proceeds will support research on these unique birds. Bird biologists will be available to talk about the birds and the research.

Best Reason to Abandon All Common Sense Trying to Win a Silent Auction
Art with Heart, the student-run philanthropic arts club of Seabury Hall, presents their fourth benefit showcase of student-produced fine and performing arts — “Waking Up” — on Saturday, March 30.
Held in the new state-of-the-art `A`ali`ikūhonua Creative Arts Center, the evening will consist of a gallery and silent auction of fine art starting at 5:30 p.m. accompanied by delicious food, refreshments and live music.
This is followed by more live music and acting, dance, and poetry readings at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the show will support Art with Heart’s goals to promote the arts and education here on Maui and abroad.
Locally, the club brings art projects to the children at the Ke Hale A Ke Ola homeless shelter and to the special-needs adolescents in the Best Buddies Program.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Children five and under are free. To reserve tickets, call 573-1257.
