Maui Democrats Set Date for Annual Convention

The Maui County Committee of the Democratic Party of Hawaiʻi announced plans to hold its annual convention on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.

The event will reportedly begin at 10 a.m., and will include the election of executive officers, rule revision discussion, and setting party goals for the upcoming year.

“All party members, officers, elected officials and others interested in moving the democratic platform forward are encouraged to attend,” said Todd Craine, Chair of the Maui County Democrats in a press release issued by event coordinators.

Early registration is $20 until 3 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, and includes a continental breakfast. Scholarships are reportedly available to those traveling from Molokaʻi and Lanaʻi and individuals who can demonstrate financial need.
