Police Remind Motorists of New Hoʻokele Traffic Signal

Maui police issued a reminder to motorists today to drive carefully in the area of the new traffic signal at Hāna Highway and Hoʻokele Street in Kahului.

The reminder comes following two traffic accidents reported at the intersection this morning.

The first occurred at 7:33 a.m. on Jan. 10, and involved three vehicles. The second was reported at 9:06 a.m. at the same location.

The traffic light was activated three weeks ago on Dec. 19, 2013 as part of Phase II of construction for the Maui Business Park.
