Comedian Dave Chappelle To Play Maui

It’s a celebration, bitches!

On Wed, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the MACC’s Castle Theater, Dave Chappelle will be playing Maui.

Hopefully we don’t have to explain who he is, but just in case: the first season DVD of his sketch comedy television series Chappelle’s Show is the best-selling TV series of all time, beating out first seasons of The Simpsons (previous record-holder), Family Guy, and Friends, according to retail sources.

The show continues to run in popular late-night syndication and on television networks around the world. Comedy Central ranks him No. 43 in “The 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.”

And if that weren’t enough, last summer, his impersonation of Prince was selected by the singer as the cover art for his new single “Breakfast Can Wait.”

If you’re familiar with the comedian, you probably do not need to be warned that this show has strong language and adult content. Get a babysitter, yo.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today and are $55 each.
